Are you attending the Society for Neuroscience conference in San Diego this year? Then come on down to the graduate school fair! For the second year in a row, the Emory Neuroscience Graduate program will be recruiting prospective students at the conference. At last year’s first-ever SfN graduate school fair, the Emory booth routinely drew the largest crowds in the exhibit hall even after we ran out of complimentary pens. Some were interested in Emory all along, but many stopped by just to see why everyone was having such an awesome time, and those rubberneckers usually stayed to fill out requests for application materials. I credit last year’s success entirely to the large number of students and faculty who came out to support the recruitment effort. If you’ve been active at during our on-campus recruitment weekends in past years and are passionate about the NS program, please put this on your SfN itinerary!
The graduate school fair takes place on both Sunday, November 10 and and Monday, November 11 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM. The Emory booth will be number 01 (we’re #1!!!) in the graduate school exhibit hall. If you have any questions about the graduate school fair or would like to do more to help (perhaps you’re really good at packing and you want to carry some flyers in your suitcase?), please contact me (firstname.lastname@example.org)!
